Free every Monday

A short story in seven days.

Each week you get one story kit and seven small prompts. Write one a day, 10 to 20 minutes each. By Sunday you'll have a finished short story: a beginning, a middle and an ending, all yours.

How it works

  1. One notebook.

A few open questions about your place, your victim and your sleuth. Fill it in as you go, so every scene sits in the same world.

  2. Seven prompts.

Write days 1 to 6 in any order. Save day 7, the ending, for last.

  3. One stitch.

On day 8, put the scenes in order, join them up and give your story a title.

A Murder Mystery in Seven Days

No plot handed to you. Seven days of questions help you find your own place, victim, killer and reason.
